I just love this series it had me hooked with the first book One last risk and this one just has good. I would love to live in Oak Grove and love reading about the Bennett family. This book is about Joey the youngest Bennett boy, but you also get a bit more information about their sister Rachel. This book is about love/lust as first sight and how a weekend maybe able to change your life for every if you are open for it. Both main characters have a history they need to face or leave behind to find out what will make their lives fulfilled and happy. I received a free copy of the book and have voluntarily written an honest review. You can read this as a stand-alone but I would suggest reading the first one before this one to get the full experience the author has written about.
Joey Bennett has grown up in this small town and has a thriving business that he has just expanded. He believes he has everything he needs in Oak Grove, but he is getting very tired of his one night stands.
Brittney Carlson loves living in New York City but is not completely content with her job there. She goes to Oak Grove for the long weekend with her friend, even though she spent her childhood in a small town and doesn’t wish to remember the reason she escaped one. She soon learns that Oak Grove is not like her hometown and she finds the local bar owner to be very attractive.
Joey and Brittany have an instant connection together and decide to have a bit of fun over the weekend. The weekend soon leads to a bit longer but with the two being so different, one city lover and the other a small town boy, how can this go anywhere from here? Both characters have their own past that has damaged them over the years, both will need to work to overcome the challenge that may affect their relationship and friendships.
Can’t wait until the next book about Rachel and Sawyer
