This book was a first for me as I have never read a story with such a gruesome and violent storyline but at the same time it had me hooked to keep reading. This is also my first M/M read for me even though I have many sitting on my kindle waiting for me to try one. The topic of this book may not be to everyone’s taste or for the faint-hearted but if you do give it a go, I am sure like myself you will be invested to learn more about these characters. There was not much of a romance during this book as the main topic is about human traffickers/slavery. I learned after I finished reading that this is just the first book about Gray and Darius as the book ended mid-way through a complete story that was not fully told. I received an ARC copy of this wonderful book and this is my voluntary and honest review. I would recommend giving this book a chance as it will entertain you and make you look at your life a little bit differently. I have only read one other book by this author before this and I must say her ability to hook you into her story even with a very horrific storyline is just outstanding.
There are many ethical questions that you will be faced with during this story as the characters endure gruesome, soul-crushing punishments in the hands of the human traffickers and their new owners.
What would you do if you were abducted and put up for auction for human traffickers to make you their slave? This is what Gray Nolan is facing but with the extra criteria of being a young athletic gay guy. Will Gray be defeated by the treatment he and his follow abductees will endure over the next few months?
Darius Quinn is Gray’s new owner and has paid a large sum of money to own this young man. But Darius did not plan to be in this situation again, he wanted a life of no more risks, no more missions and no more personal attachments. He was happy with his life but you must do what you must, so a plan was put in place.
This book is set to Release on the 28th June
