Like the title, this book was like Coming Home to the wonders of Chandler Hill Inn and Winery the second book of the Chandler Hill Inn series by Judith Kliem. If you have not read the first book of this series that fine but I would recommend reading it first to get the full effect of this emotional and moving story of family and love.
It was not the homecoming Cami wanted but she must do what her beloved grandmother Nonnie wanting her to do. Follow in her footsteps to run the Inn and Winery to the best of her ability. Lettie Chandler was a woman of great determination and business skills to make the most of what life threw her way, can Cami be anything like the grandmother she loved and missed every day. From the first week at the halms of the Inn Cami soon learns everything is not what it seems to be, there will be some hard days and hard decisions to me make if she is to succeed. As Cami works at improving and running the Inn has her grandmother did in the past she will need the trust and assets of the employee that will soon feel like family members and some that will turn out to be the black sheep of any possible family.
Cami has always wanted to learn who her father is but since her mother told nobody all hope looks lost until she meets the bride of an upcoming wedding at the Inn meets Cami. The bride is astonished at how alike she is to her maid of honour Lulu and tells Cami she has found her doppelganger.
Cami had to leave her boyfriend in France to return home so when she meets her Grandfathers new employee Drew Farley, Cami wants only friendship. Both are happy with becoming friends and commonly have the admiration for what Rafe has lost and accomplished in his lifetime. They form a strong friendship and help each more other along the way but as all plan are they may just divert along the way to become more than was ever planned for in the first place.
The road over the next year or more will bring many things to Cami’s new life back at home from happiness, sorrow, hope, betrayal, jealousness, hurt, friendship, success, desperation but most of all Love.
There were some great new characters to love and even as many to dislike during this read but most of all the story had me wanting more. With the first chapter of the next book at the end, I was drawn to read it straight away something that I have only done once or twice before in my life. If you have never read Judith Kiem before I urge you to do so her writing style and the feelings she provokes in you will have you wanting more. She knows how to make her stories so realistic without going into a world of unbelievable to get her messages across to you through her words. I am always thankful and happy to receive an ARC copy of any book she writes to which I always give my honest and voluntary review.

Camilla “Cami” Chandler comes home from France to take over the Chandler Hill Inn and Winery for her recently-deceased grandmother, Lettie, as she’d always promised. Determined to succeed in this new venture, she finds herself in trouble from the beginning when she discovers most of her grandmother’s estate intended for maintaining the inn’s business expenses was lost in a Ponzi scheme. She forges ahead to provide her guests with wonderful experiences and to produce the best wines in Willamette Valley. After being ditched by her French boyfriend, she decides that being friends with Drew Farley is the safest way to proceed. He loves grape growing and winemaking as much as she does and isn’t looking for anything beyond friendship.
When a bride planning a wedding at the inn tells Cami that she looks exactly like her best friend, life becomes even more complicated. Never having known even the name of her father, Cami searches for a connection and comes to realize how complicated love and family can be.
