What a wonderful book 10 stars for me.
This is by far the funniest Aspen Cove book for me. The one-liners had me LOL so much.
"Go home Violet. You don't ride a bull before you've ridden a horse."
To see why a laugh out loud you will have to read this wonderful book to get the true meaning of that sentence.
How Kelly Collins keeps giving us all these great and loving characters in this one little town is beyond me her imagination and story ability keeps me reading and wanting more.
He is a cowboy in limbo doing the job of a cattle hand but wanting so much more.
She has the ability to do her job in a man's world but has been thrown to the curve.
Trinity Mosier is known for trouble by her brother but its trouble that has always found her no the other way around. So when she needs help she turns to her brother Cade.
Wyatt Morrison had come to Aspen Cove a few books ago to find a new start and a new job at The Big D Ranch. A job he was told he would have some growth within the ranch, he is unable to live on the ranch due to the owners' many daughters so he is bunking in Cade bunkhouse.
"There were many hungers in life. Starving for love and affection were tow. Respect and consideration were at the top of many people's list. Passion. Peace. Companionship. Understanding. Those hungers gnawed at a person's insides far longer than an empty stomach."
"The cowboy's creed:
Live each day with courage.
Take Pride in your work.
Always finish what you start.
Do what needs to be done.
Be tough, but fair.
Keep your promises.
Talk less and say more.
Know where to draw the line."
Two cowboys on her brother ranch will cause Trinity many problems some good and some bad but this feisty cowgirl will take just as much as she is given to find her place. To be accepted for what she is a fine horsewoman with the ability to do the job right. Also to be loved and wanted would be perfect for a new start in this new town. She hides her inner vulnerability from almost everyone until she meets the one man that sees right through her tuff girl persona.
Wyatt is a warm and loving man who wants more for his life than what he now has, he is prepared to work hard to get it all. In walks this beautiful girl and turns his world upside down in all the best possible ways.
I started this book and at no point could I put it down until I have finished the very last word. The husband was ignored, the phone could have been turned off for all I cared and there was no dinner on the table. But this story was read and that is all I wanted to do that day.
I am giving you my honest and voluntary review of this ARC copy I received of this wonderfully funny and totally entertaining read.
